ENLUXTRA WOUND DRESSING STACKING TECHNIQUE
FOR WEAR TIME OPTIMIZATION
If you deal with heavily draining wounds, you know first-hand that sometimes managing exudate flow of a leaky wound may become unpredictable.
Our new approach - stacking Enluxtra dressings in layers - has been helping many medical professionals achieve virtually UNLIMITED absorption AND retention capacity, comparable only to NPWT canisters (video), while preventing wound desiccation - and therefore SIGNIFICANTLY extends the dressing wear time to suit each individual patient’s need.

Enluxtra is the ONLY advanced superabsorbent wound dressing on the market that can be comfortably stacked in several layers when and where needed. It is technically impossible to modify any other superabsorbent dressings in order to stack them, because if the external backing film is peeled off (like it is easily done with Enluxtra) they disintegrate and become unusable.
With Enluxtra, when you need to manage a highly exuding wound, and want to extend the dressing wear time, you can stack two (or more) Enluxtra dressings in layers. Just watch the video and/or follow the simple instructions below:
1. Peel off the printed backing film from the first Enluxtra dressing.
2. Place the second Enluxtra on top of the first “peeled” one.
3. Apply the dressing stack to the wound.
If you're using more than 2 Enluxtra dressings, peel off the backing film from all pads, except for the top one.
Enluxtra stack remains soft, flexible and comfortable, keeping optimally moist healing environment in the wound.
And if necessary, you can trim the Enluxtra stack before placing it on the wound! This approach is particularly effective if a wound is located in a tight place and a larger Enluxtra dressing with higher absorption capacity does not fit.

ENLUXTRA STACK IN PRACTICE
One of our customers took stacking Enluxtra to the next level to battle the flow of exudate from an extremely odorous, heavily draining wound.
The super-absorbent sachet dressings that they have tried prior to switching to Enluxtra stack simply didn’t live up to the job: in just one day the dressings would become oversaturated, start leaking, contaminating all surrounding areas and spreading odor.
Once the wound care team stacked two Enluxtra dressings and applied the stack to that same wound, they were able to eliminate the odor and reduce the frequency of dressing changes from daily to every 4 days!

The next step the team will be taking is TRIPLE-stacking Enluxtra in hopes that the exudate flow will be controlled even better, further reducing change frequency.
