ENLUXTRA Smart Self-Adaptive Dressing is the first and only self-regulating superabsorbent fiber dressing with localized adaptive absorbency and built-in localized adaptive hydration function. 1. Smart Adaptive Functionality
Enluxtra vertically absorbs and locks in the exudate from exuding wound zones, while at the same time adaptively hydrating dry wound zones with the help of embedded hydrogel.

Enluxtra is able to gradually, painlessly and non-traumatically remove slough, necrotic tissue and other non-viable and pro-inflammatory components from the wound bed,

Wounds are non-uniform and constantly changing objects. By nature every wound has different ever-changing areas that need different dynamically changing care.
ENLUXTRA is able to sense the wound's needs and to act in accordance with them. If a wound or even a part of it changes its state while the Self-Adaptive Dressing is on, the dressing will automatically and reversibly change its function locally at this particular area.
- If, for some reason, a part of a dry/granulating wound unexpectedly starts exuding, the dressing at this area switches its local function from hydration to absorption, while all other dressing areas continue to hydrate the dry parts of the wound.
- If the wound stops exuding, the local function of the dressing reverts back to hydration.
- Vulnerable peri-wound skin, when covered with Enluxtra dressing, is always protected from factors that negatively affect its skin barrier function.
With this technology, maceration and desiccation will never occur, thus resulting in a more desirable healing process of any wound in any wound stage.

5. Unprecedented absorptive capacity and fluid lock-in ability without drying the wound.
Self-Adaptive Dressing can absorb 1500% of its own weight and locks the fluid in. The absorbed exudate is not released under high pressure (body weight) or compression wrap. It is virtually impossible to squeeze the absorbed fluid back from the dressing. Self-Adaptive dressing effectively manages wound drainage and prevents exudate leakage while protecting the peri-wound skin from maceration. 6. Painless. Non-adhering to the wound. Reduces odor.
Self-Adaptive dressing reduces pain and odor. Dressing removal is non-traumatic and painless, as the dressing does not adhere to the wound. Removal can be accomplished in one piece with no need for saline or solution.
7. Has outstanding mechanical integrity.
Self-Adaptive Dressing is designed to absorb a huge amount of exudate while retaining its original mechanical integrity and can easily be removed without leaving much residue in the wound.
8. Serves as a microbial and strike through barrier.
The dressing has breathable, liquid and microorganisms impermeable backing film and does not need secondary film dressing.
9. Reduces bioburden in the wound, stops biofilm formation.
Drug-free bioburden reduction due to lock-in function. Dressing holds absorbed exudate with its harmful components and bacteria away from the wound. When exudate is absorbed into the dressing material, water is chemically bound to polymer molecules and is no longer available to the sequestered microorganisms. Without water supply they cannot replicate, and soon die. Each freshly applied dressing decreases the bioburden, repairs the periwound area and prevents the introduction of more irritants and microbes that perpetuate bacteria growth. |
