“One of the big challenges we have in wound care is keeping the wound at that "just right" level of moisture-- not too wet and not too dry. Every time the needs of the wound change we have to change products and this can be both wasteful and expensive. Enluxtra adapts to the changes in the amount of wound fluid and patients love the way it feels. It is also very easy to use! Patients often find changing their dressings stressful. Enluxtra doesn't stick to the wound, it is easy to apply and it is comfortable.
It has also been a huge success over cellular based products-- sometimes called "semi-synthetic skin." These products can cost hundreds of dollars and are used to try to avoid surgical skin grafts. If they get too wet or too dry after they are applied, they don't work. Since I started using biological products in 1998 I have tried every dressing on the market to find the perfect cover for biological materials and Enluxtra is the solution. It is also less expensive than the others I was using. “

"I have used Enluxtra for almost one year now. There have only been positive experiences with this product. In the past it was difficult to decide which out of all the products to use that are on the market…and there are a lot of them. Now, I have a wound care product that can do everything. Enluxtra has great absorbency capabilities, autolytically debrides and can be left on the wound longer than most dressings. Patients like it because it is easy to use, very cost effective and heals their wound faster. If you have not tried it, I would strongly encourage you to do so.
Based on my clinical experience with Enluxtra, I would recommend that you to add Enluxtra to your wound care protocol and/or formulary." ***

“Enluxtra [is] a “smart dressing” that one can use in various wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and postoperative wounds. The dressing can absorb a large amount of exudate and trap it within the dressing. This allows autolytic debridement to occur by providing the appropriate wound environment. I have been impressed by the amount of exudate [Enluxtra] can absorb in the highly exudative venous leg ulcers. I’ve also been impressed with how it can be placed on a dry wound and keep the wound base moist. Enluxtra can adapt to the various wound types such as highly exudative or minimally exudative wounds, and allow the wounds to progress to healing. "

"We observed notable improvements of wound edge conditions. The dressing demonstrated excellent properties with regard to preservation of peri-wound skin. Dressing removal was painless and non-traumatic. It also seemed that this dressing minimized formation of biofilm, therefore reducing the need for debridement. We had promising results with extended use in patients with once a week dressing changes with moderate drainage. The utilization of one-fit-all dressing for multiple wound types, which exhibit minimal to severe exudate, simplified wound care. This dressing improved the quality consistency of practical moist wound healing and facilitated care continuum in the clinic, home and facility settings."

“In many ways, Enluxtra has simplified our wound care protocols. It's a versatile, effective dressing that has applications for many different wound types. Some of our most positive outcomes are seen when Enluxtra is used in combination with advanced biologics for VLUs and DFUs.”

"I've been using it for almost a year now with very good results. One patient had excessive drainage and odor with daily dressing changes prior to seeing me. He had severe vascular ulcers to both lower extremities from the tibial tuberosity down to the dorsum of both feet. I've tried other dressings with no luck. Since I start using the enluxtra dressing the dressing changes are now twice weekly and there is minimal to no odor. Patient is extremely happy and the wounds are healing to the point that we can now graft him."

“Naturally there is skepticism in any new product we use, however when a product works with concrete clinical evidence skepticism quickly turns into confidence. Enluxtra is simple to use yet scientifically advanced and effective, it is this combination, in my opinion, that turns the skeptic into an advocate.”
