Ready, Set, Heal! Are you on board for Enluxtra?

What truly brings us joy is finding out about incredible stories of healing with Enluxtra from happy patients and nurses alike.

Lisa Williams: my father got a nasty wound!

Recently, through our Facebook page, we were introduced to Lisa Williams, the sole caretaker of her 81-year-old father.
Lisa's father on his 81-st birthday.

November 2015: minor injury resulted in a bad wound

He’s struggled with a wound on his leg since November 2015. His injury was the result of a common, routine motion—he leaned forward from his chair, reached down, and fell. He hit the inside of his ankle against the hard chair leg, which prompted severe swelling, but progressed to a large, open wound.
Beginning of December 2015: conventional treatments aren't helping

Lisa finds ENLUXTRA
As conventional therapies continued to fail and a scary prospect of leg amputation has started looming over, Lisa decided to take the matter in her own hands.
In her research she has come across our Facebook page, convinced her father’s doctor to order free samples of Enluxtra, and committed to a consistent treatment plan. She was not going down without a fight, and we’re glad she didn’t.

Healing progress full on
Lisa posted photos of her father’s wound after every Enluxtra dressing change and our entire team followed the healing progress with excitement. Lisa had all the help she could get from us, with our Clinical Director Vicki Fischenich commenting on every posted photo and pointing out the signs of healing that may not have been evident at first.
Could it happen to you?
Wounds like that of Lisa’s father are not uncommon and can develop unexpectedly after a seemingly insignificant episode. We have seen many cases of chronic wounds that started out as a small scratch on the skin surface.

What you as a medical professional should realize is that it is easy to prevent the wound from worsening and becoming chronic.

On high risk patients, such as elderly, diabetic, etc. we recommend treating even the smallest wounds with Enluxtra dressings. This will save you a lot of headache and your patient – a lot of unnecessary pain and frustration; it will also save a lot of time, money, and effort.

January 7 and 10, 2016: seemingly unnoticable, the healing progress is evident when the wound photo is magnified

The importance of a pro
What’s most important is that your patients — however resourceful they are —  should always rely on medical expertise to potentially save the limb (or even the life) of a loved one.
Lisa once commented on our Facebook page, “I just think people need to be more educated about the dressing and your company, because it’s doing an awesome job healing my father’s leg! We just need everyone onboard!”
So many people need experts like you—who are passionate about innovative technology in medicine and want to use it to help their patients while earning major kudos at their work place!
January 20, 24, and 29, 2016: notice rapid re-epithelialization

Now, the question on everyone’s mind: Did Enluxtra work for Lisa’s father?
Yes! After three steady months, Lisa, her father’s wound care nurse, and their physician are practically pros at using Enluxtra. Despite a few initial setbacks, each dressing change revealed new, healthy skin, and a smaller wound. Lisa has updated us with incredible photos revealing her father’s wound. As of May 1 he no longer wears any dressings and his wound is completely healed!
February 24 and March 09, 2016: wound closure is almost complete

Enluxtra is on everyone’s lips (no pun intended): impressions from the WOCN&CAET joint conference

Picture
It was for the first time ever that Enluxtra has been presented at the WOCN conference — a joint WOCN/CAET event that took place at the beginning of this month in Montreal, Canada.

What happened there
Our booth has drawn a lot of attention – and not because of its flashy design, we only had a simple table this time.
What attracted the visitors were case studies continuously displayed on our computer monitors: wounds treated with Enluxtra and finally healing after months and years of failed treatments with other products.

Do you know what Enluxtra can do?
We are happy to report that Enluxtra brand is widely recognized among the US practitioners.
Our Clinical Director Vicki Fischenich admits however, that many are still unaware of broad application spectrum of Enluxtra dressings that can help manage a wide variety of wounds of any etiology, stage and draining level: from dry to copiously draining, from those undergoing negative pressure therapy to skin graft related applications - and anything in-between.

The confusion may arise from the CMS-Medicare putting Enluxtra in the reimbursement category of "alginates and other gelling fibers". It is the last part of this category’s title — “OTHER GELLING FIBERS” — that makes a whole lot of difference in describing what Enluxtra can do.

The good news is — clinicians who have experienced success with Enluxtra treatment for draining wounds are open to trying it on other types of wounds as well. And you should, too!

 Is Enluxtra expensive? Absolutely not!
We have noticed that sometimes an impression is created about Enluxtra as an expensive brand – a misconception we are always ready to disprove. Enluxtra is in the mid-range of current advanced wound dressing prices. It is  generally more expensive than simple foam dressings, but significantly less costly than advanced foam dressings and silver-containing, collagen, hydroconductive, and other products.  The moderate price of  Enluxtra dressings and their nearly 100% utilization led to reduction of total monthly spending on primary wound dressings upwards of 30% during the standardization study at the clinic compared to
baseline spending before the study.

This spending reduction is estimated to provide the clinic with more than $40,000 annual savings on primary dressings ONLY, not to mention shorter healing times and reduced consumption of expensive topical products.

Enluxtra has been proven to work and bring significant savings in thousands of cases where other treatments were ineffective.

Is Enluxtra for you?
The absolute majority of our visitor indicated that the wound images we were showing actively reminded them of their patients’ wounds. This certainly creates a mental link between the wounds clinicians encounter in their daily practice and similar wounds that have been successfully healed with Enluxtra dressings. It makes you realize that the same wounds that resist treatment with other products may finally budge with Enluxtra applications.

Be sure to sign up for our FREE e-learning program and attend a live webinar with Vicki Fischenich.
And don’t forget to order FREE samples available to medical professionals like you!

Happy healing!
